Sermons by Thomas Reagan

“Holy Vessels of Purpose” Acts 2:1-21 – June 4, 2017

Acts 2:1-21 – Four words help describe what happened with the disciples on Pentecost – four words which are still applicable today for us.

“God Changes Hearts” April 30, 2017 Sermon

Luke 24:13-35 What is it that Jesus did for the two on the way to Emmaus that can help us in sharing our faith with others? What did Peter say that sparked thousands being saved by God?

“Three Words of an Adventurous Life”

Matthew 4:12-23 – Adventure is usually made up of excitement and risk. Should there be adventure in living out our Christian faith?!

“Be Strong in the Lord” – Jan 15, 2017

Ephesians 6:10-20 – Battle? Watch the news, listen to the radio, read the paper, go on Facebook, read emails, meet people and eventually you will come away asking yourselves “what is wrong with these people!?” Hear what God says about being in battle!

“Glory to God” Dec. 25, 2016

Luke 2:1-20 – What was that glory that shone around those shepherds? Who is to give glory and how does that happen? Pastor Tom apologizes for misplacing a page of his sermon among other loose sheets in his Bible! He feels it caused some unhelpful distraction. However, he leaves us a question. Am I giving glory to God and if so how? Listen for a hint from Col 1:16.

October 9, 2016 “Thankful or Thank You?”

Luke 17:11-19  Can you imagine being sick and separated from your family, children, parents, friends and neighbors to live with others who are also sick for the rest of your life? That is what those with leprosy had to do. That was the situation for the ten lepers outside a small border town. They cried out to Jesus for healing and Jesus sent them to the priests, on the way they were healed. But only one returned to give thanks and praise? Listen to this for a likely scenario as to why.

[This message was recorded after the service due to recording difficulties.]

“Caution: Faith in Use” Luke 17:1-10

Last week we heard about Lazarus and rich man in Luke 16 and how the rich man was in hell and wanted to warn his 5 brothers but it was too late! The words of Jesus in Luke 17 remind us that we can show people Jesus while we are living now and it can make a difference in eternity!

Proactive for God

Luke 16:1-15 – September 18, 2016 – Followers of Jesus are called to do more than react to situations. They are called by God’s grace to be shrewd – wise, clever and creative – making a difference for eternity. We can learn much from a dishonest money manager!
